Well, I don't do my own taxes and maybe that is not the best idea. I let my mother do them. She has been doing them for years and well, I have never had a problem.
However, this is the first year that I thought I was getting money and then all of a sudden I owe 200$. Fine, that's not like a crazy amount of money. But it is money I don't have and I thought I was getting 800$. So what do you do?
Well I guess most people would say, I'll work some over time and make up for the difference so I can at least pay it off. But as a graduate student I do not have that luxury. I am "salaried" on a stipend at a "gracious" amount of 23K. Sure, if I was better at spending money that would be fine. However, I lived a lifestyle with more than double that number before coming here and it has been hard.
So again, what do you do?
Well I will tell you.
You think for a second. Fine I am already doing unsightly things for money under the radar getting an extra 100$ a week, but that is for another story. Now I need more and I'm thinking it isn't that bad. I'll save on laundry and I'll make money! Well if you already guessed what saves on laundry and what makes money then you were right.
I decided. I am going to sell my used underwear. There are a lot of weirdos out there and I can do it. I wear underwear everyday! How hard can it be to not put it in the wash but in an envelope with a kiss over the seal. Well, guess what. IT IS HARD!
I first thought, craigslist. There are so many weirdos out there I'm sure someone is looking for used underwear. So I typed underwear into the search bar. There are a lot of people selling underwear, and no not like worn and used dirty underwear. Just people selling underwear that is washed and they don't want anymore. Craigslist = strange. But I did happen to find a site where I can sell my dirty underwear. Good! Easier that way I thought.
False. Nothing is easy. You have to sign up you have to pay 20$ a month for membership. I mean makes sense all transactions are through PayPal so the site doesnt make much money. So. I signed up I paid the 20$ and I posted a picture of me in underwear. Good. Easy. And I waited. And waited.
Again. Nothing is easy. People viewed my shop and what I was offering. People messaged me and asked for my kik. People wanted pictures but didn't pay for them. People wanted to sext and make friends so they don't have to pay. BUT NO ONE was buying my underwear.
You know I was thinking. Alright if I sell 5 pairs at 20$ each that's 100 in 5 days. I can buy 5 new pairs and still make a profit. And it's been ALMOST A WEEK and no one has attempted to buy my underwear. I'm disappointed. DISAPPOINTED. I have a nice ass I workout. I take pictures I got the angles. But it tells you on the site how many buyers and sellers there are. And who would have know that sellers outweigh the buyers. Upsetting. So needless to say I probably will not pay for another month of this site and I will find a new way to make money.
Onto the next thing!!
Oh and my taxes are due June 29th. It's June 27th. Anyone wanna help out? Lol jk.
